Most EU nationals pay 50US$ or 50 € expect for Canadian passports holders pay 75 US$, US passport holders pay 100$ per person. Other country nationals do not require visa please check this list for more information
The changes at the Kilimanjaro airport has meant that the visa on arrival can take an excess of 2 hours that is queue for government control number, queue to pay for this at the bank and queue for the immigration to check and issue visa.

- Baggage should be of the round squashy type rather than hard suitcase that are difficult to fit into a jeep. Try to use something that is both water resistances and lockable as luggage can often end up sitting at the top of the roof of the vehicle. It should be noted that the weight limit per person for the domestic flights is 15-20kg.

- First aid; Sunscreen (SPF 15+), Lip balm with sunscreen, insect repellant, disinfectant/antiseptic cream, other medications for possible common situations like headaches and diarrhea.
